Jessica came out again for another shoot. I hadn’t had time to touch my camera for anything creative since October. This is a Bakersfield/Santa Barbara mash-up. More to come in this series.

This is another edit from the Halloween shoot I did, only I changed the concept.

This image was one of the shots I took from a Halloween inspired photo shoot. Unfortunately, it got dark before we could really get going on the original concept, so we did a little improvisation. The original concept is a little more involved and will hopefully pan out for a later post.

This is one of the shots from my promo shoot with Garage Island as port of a package with Rocket Ship Recording Studio.

Here is an edit from a shoot I did with a friend of mine in May. I had a lot of fun putting this one together and it is right in line with the style I am trying to focus on as of late.

So, me and Nichole had been wanting to collaborate again ever since our last photo shoot for the Bakotopia News Years cover. We’ve had several things planned that fell through for various reasons before she moved to Santa Barbara. So, once the new year rolled around again, we decided to make a better effort to get things done. We finally set a shoot date at the end of March and were all set and ready to go. That was until a crazy storm decided to roll through and flood everyone out. Fortunately, we had better luck a week later and had some fun. Here are some of the images that I put together. Hello tumbl town. It’s been a long time ‘tween. I’ve been doing a lot of events lately and have neglected to post anything here. I was building my blog on my photography site, but got distracted so it still isn’t live. I have been doing a lot of photo manipulation lately. Most of it just sits on my computer and gives me a laugh now and then. I do notice a theme trending. My fascination with space and alien life forms has definitely made its way into my work. Here are just a few examples of what will probably be a recurring theme.

Close encounter of the third kind. Their work in alien human hybridization is quite advanced these days. One can only imagine what the future holds.

Those who know me, know I love to mess around with my photos. Most of them never get posted up anywhere, and most of them are usually just to make me laugh. Lately, I’ve been thinking of taking this a bit more seriously (or as close to serious as I can realistically come) and decided I want to develop a portfolio of my quirky images to be used as ad campaigns.

I messaged my cousin a last week and asked if he wanted to help me with a car test-shoot. I never really photographed cars before, so I thought I would give it a try before I took up a project for a body shop. My cousin has a few cars he was fixing up so I thought he might want to have them model for me.

We took his blue Toyota out and shot a couple on the east side. I just set up some lights and took some different shots. Of course, whenever me and my cousin get together, things can get pretty random. So, I ended up with the image below.

My original idea was to add my cat into the image and make it look like was holding him on a leash. He’s always has these incredible leaps when he plays “string,” but as expected, he was camera shy. So, I opted for my best Harry Potter impression instead.

The first time I witnessed a Circa show was a few years back when they came to the Montgomery World Plaza here in Bakersfield. My brother Jacob and my friend Jessica were both fans so I decided I would go check out the show. Once they hit the stage the crowd went nuts. The show stopped a dozen times just so Anthony Green could instruct the audience to “get the fuck back!” So, when I heard they were going to play a drastically smaller venue, Jerry’s Pizza, I knew it was going to be crazy. So, when it came to the day of the show, I still wasn’t sure how it was going to work but I grabbed my camera and headed out to the venue.
